Survey shows 76% workers remain unpaid for the month of April, 2020

A survey conducted in Manesar and Bawal Industrial belt has revealed that over 76% workers did not receive wages for the month of April when the lockdown began while 38% were not paid full wages. The non-payment of wages despite government orders aggravated the situation and pushed workers towards starvation and death. Furthermore, relief packages rolled out by states did not take into account migrant workers which added to the distress.
